Museum Island

The northern part of the island Shpreeinzel, which is located in the Mitte district, Berlin, called Museum Island. The first museum was opened here in 1830 thanks to the efforts of King Frederick William III. But first the museum was named in honor of the Emperor Frederick, and in 1959 he was given the name of the brilliant art historian Wilhelm von Bode. Last on the island was built Pergamon Museum.
Doors of museums are open every day from 10.00 to 18.00. Tickets cost 8 euros, but you can buy a single pass to all objects of the island for 14 euros, which operates all day. For budget travelers a special offer: every Thursday from 18.00 to 22.00 free entrance to museums, except Pergamum.
